Minor Character Fashion 5.1

We got a pretty good spread of minor characters today! I know that some of these people have names. I have just decided to group these folks together for now. First, the car salesman who is working with Joey wears a suit. Next, a student in the halls wears a tee shirt under a pinkish sweater vest. Next, another random girl wears a pastelly plaid shirt. Then, we have a teacher in a like, super long, cardigan? I don’t know how you would describe that. Sorry, I’m not actually qualified to run a fashion blog. Next is a couple of shots of the SPED teachers wearing some terribly (wonderfully) 80s ensembles. Phew, we’re still going! Next is a mullet guy wearing rainbow shorts, heck yeah! Then, a couple of these upperclassmen girls demonstrating some nice casual 80s (90s) style – big shirts and mom jeans. Then, a guy in a blue polo.. And finally – this went on forever! I think this is the same teacher we saw shortly ago, wearing a yellow sweater and big earrings. With a sexual awareness kit. Hm.

Raditch is just having a normal fashion day until he learns that his least favorite student is parading nude in the cafeteria – then Raditch loses his jacket in an effort to sprint over there.

We get more Nick than usual this episode! He wears lots of brown and denim. So first, we see him in this cropped and cutoff jean vest, over a brown shirt with the sleeves rolled up. Then we get another brown cuffed sleeve moment, all with his free-flowing, shoulder length school bully hair.

Michelle is wearing, as one of y’all out there said once, “silken high-waisted monstrosities”. LOL. I hope that you all know, that if I ever seem to throw shade at a character, remember it’s toward the character and not the actor. However, I do realize that a lot of the clothes these characters wore, were the actual clothes of the actor. So yeah sometimes I do state that I don’t like an outfit, but I do remember and respect that these were people’s actual clothes. This is really just more of an analysis of the whole time period, the 80s, moreso than the people themselves. The 80s were sometimes known as bad fashion. I may call something bad fashion. But please don’t get it twisted – just because something is awful doesn’t mean I don’t love it. That’s part of the reason why I started this blog. Because I love awful clothes. I also listen to some pretty awful music and watch awful movies, and one of my favorite things to say is “embrace the cheese”. So, when I poke fun sometimes, at these clothes, it’s never a personal attack or critique. Just because I say “that outfit is hilarious” doesn’t mean I wouldn’t wear it!

Lucy Fernandez Fashion 5.1

Lucy is all about the orange this episode. She is definitely a fashion role model here at school. First, she wears this gorgeous orange skater dress and tells us that LD is sailing the islands, which sounds like the biggest lie ever. How come every time someone disappears from the show, and the other characters talk about it, it sounds like a huge lie? “Stephanie went to private school where she has to wear a uniform.” Even something as simple as “Paige is out sick with the flu.” *eye roll* It just sound super suspicious. ANYWAY, later she dons her Lucy Fernandez sweatshirt over the same dress. and later we see her in an orange tank, brownish skirt, and floral cardi.

This Liz outfit is super cute, but unfortunately this is the best look at it that we can get. She wears a blue tank over a white tank, with a ruffly skirt and lacy tights. Adorable! And she’s doing that weird ponytail thing to grow out her Chelsea I guess.

I’m proud to bring you something a little different today: nude Joey and PSA Joey all in one episode. First, though, we have this nice sky blue shirt + grey vest combo, followed by a classic Joey orange + green combo. Now it’s time for the streak through the caf. Joey first covers up with this hilariously huge and cartoon-like trenchcoat, a must for any streaker or hustler. Then, for the first time ever, we see Joey wearing only a hat. And finally, enjoy the brief moments of visual clarity for the PSA. Joey’s blossoming mullet is so nice and fluffy, and he wears this NON-Joey-like bulky purple sweatshirt. The brand is Chip and Pepper. I think they do jeans. And as of a few years ago, Chip and Pepper still exists because they were carried in this store I used to work at called Belk.
