DJH S3E8: Star-Crossed

Alright y’all, we made it to episode 10 of season 3! Star-Crossed is one of my favorite episodes. We kick it off with Alexa, who is wearing brighter colors than normal. She hops on the bus to Borden in a turquoise shirt under a floral cardi (one which we have seen others wearing before, like Michelle!) with some white pants and statement earrings.
And then she’s toned it back down again, with this tan trenchcoat and brown pants. Also, she wears a basket bag, which has been pointed out to me by Colleen Lam (Vivian Wong) as being very popular in those days.
Dude. Shoulderpads. Shoulderpads. And also this is a neckline I’ve been observing at the thrift stores lately. I think Alexa looks really cute in this headband and giant pearl earrings. And of course, the dark green pants are rad.

Again, Alexa has a flowy silhouette in this big greyish blouse.

DJH S3E5: Loves Me, Loves Me Not

It’s freakin Alexa time. And I’m excited about all the shots I’ve harvested for you. Perhaps I got a bit screenshot-happy, but I can’t help it – I’m a bit partial to Alexa and she had lots of lines and screentime in this episode.
First we see her in a slightly peachy tee with a front pocket, an acid wash jean skirt, and some strange plastic necklace and hoop earrings. I just love that face when she’s checking out a guy!
This is a trenchcoat-blazer-jacket thingy over a white shirt and some black pleated mom shorts. Her shoes today are some black slipons / flats. I don’t know what they called them in the 80s. I really dig the high ponytail. Even though Alexa is kind of being a jerk this whole episode.
Alexa was really looking forward to showing off some cleavage at the dance, so she wears minimal jewelry to as not to take away from her… ahem.. other accessories. She’s wearing a white dress with black spots and a sweetheart neckline. The matching shawl ties at the back.

Now we have made it to my least-favorite episode – “that Christmas one” where Arthur and Yick reminisce. Nonetheless, there are still some good outfits on the episode so let’s get started.
Here’s Alexa in some unusually good lighting and a lavender button down looking cute as heck. I really like the way her bangs are a bit of a lighter than the rest of her hair. I don’t know if there’s a term for that.

I really liked what Alexa was wearing but had a hard time capturing it. At this point I also can’t remember or make out whether this is a 2-piece set of pants and a vest, or some type of overalls. Regardless, it’s white and super adorable over this grey billowy-sleeved top. She completes the look with some white socks and some dark shoes. Would I call these slip-ons? Loafers? Still not a fashion expert, despite this fashion blog. Anyway, I adore this, and admire it for its vast difference from the clothes we are wearing today in 2016.
