Okay so first Paige is wearing these dress pants and I can just FEEL them, I know exactly what they feel like. They’re stiff, scratchy, but stretchy and have a shimmer to them. She wears them with a ribbed bubblegum pink sweater, a clear square little purse thingie, crimped pieces of hair, and a pink barette. Next she’s got on a hunter green 3/4 length sleeve shirt with criss cross lacing at the chest, and some khakis. With more crimped hair and some face-framing tendrils.

Sidekick Manny is over here in a hooded sweater, pigtail braids, and also a jean jacket. I sure am noticing a lot of hoods in the 2000s now. I also can’t help but notice every time, that when Liberty walks in and everyone stares at her seriously, and Liberty runs off, and everyone is supposed to look sad, but Manny (or rather, Cassie) is clearly trying to hold back some giggles. It’s so weird. Watch for it next time!

Oh, it’s Liberty’s time to shine. Just kidding. It’s time for her to be publicly humiliated. So let’s talk her fashion. First she wears wide-leg dark wash jeans, white sneakers, a ponytail, headband, and orange-red shirt of course, because that’s her current color scheme, and some tiny heart-shaped studded earrings. Outside, Armstrong comes up to pass her a love note and it looks like she dons an orangey sweater over the current ensemble. The next day, she’s got some overalls over a navy shirt and under an orange zipup sweater. I also got a little closeup of the white shoes and the little flowers embroidered on the hem of the overall pants. Oh, those little 2000s details.

First JT wears one of those horizontal chest-stripe shirts in yellow with a sleeveless hoodie over top. Then he wears a pretty mature looking button down, with a gold chain and topped with a giant red jacket and backwards hat when it’s time to ride his super cool scooter outside.

OMG! It’s our first Hazel feature! Hazel is basically Paige’s Manny. She’s one of the divas of Grade 8. I had to get a closeup of that cell phone to kick things off. Then she wears a tan 3/4 sleeve crop top, embellished with rhinestones, and jeans, and a swipe of shimmery liner on her eyelids. Then she pleads innocent to rumour-spreading in this blue tee, gold chain, and headband.

Okay, I can totally understand why people hate Emma. I really do. But for some reason I was just overcome with unconditional love at first sight when I first happened upon Degrassi (season 2 of TNG was airing at the time), and I just accept all her flaws with open arms. She was a firey, meddling child. She had good intentions, but she was naive. And her naivete drives her role in this episode – jumping to conclusions about Liberty and Armstrong, spreading it around the school, and assuming that she had nothing to do with it. First outfit is an awesome striped sweater of yellow, orange, and pink, paired with olive khaki flares and chunky tennies. She tops it with a jean jacket when she goes outside. And last she wears a red zip up sweater, her cross-body bag, and red pants.

This is the episode where rumours get out of control and people think Mr. Armstrong is making the moves on Liberty. And as always he generally is wearing sweatshirts, but we do get to see him in a rusty red polo there at the end.
