Goin’ Down the Road Part 2

Okay, time for the rando roundup. First are a few shots of this lovely lady who is also acting in Jay & Silent Bob Go Canadian Eh. Oh I think she replaced Caitlin because Caitlin can’t act. Anyway, I know this gal from Clerks 2. She’s hot, right? Well that’s Jennifer Schwalbach Smith, Kevin Smith’s wife in real life. Kind of an awkward Degrassi set, right? Like, she’s here with her husband, who’s playing himself, but playing an unmarried version of himself, and kissing the Degrassi character he’s crushing on? Weird. Anyway, she’s got that nice golden blonde hair of the time. Next is a business man getting into his car in the streets of Toronto. These streets look admittedly bleak in this episode. Craig and his new BFF were thinking about robbing the guy. I felt kinda sorry for him, even though he’s rich af. Thankfully he peeps those two ragamuffins from afar and hurries away. Next we see Joey pleading with the cops, and finally we see this guy working the homeless shelter with some dreads.

Ah, Towerz – the most mysterious person in all of Degrassi perhaps. He’s wearing corn rows, a headband, and a jersey, while present at one of Sean’s ragers.

Heck yeah, prime Ellie fashion in a nice hefty gallery today. Have I said this before? I like Ellie and Sean together. It just works. Even though Ellie has a “bad” image but isn’t really a bad girl, whereas Sean IS a bad boy, I think they’re strangely compatible. She’s in her braids phase but I think it’s super cute. The first outfit, we are in the shadowy auto shop, so all I can really make out is a leather jacket and a lot of cool necklaces. The next outfit features those inside-out seams that are coming back as I write this. She layers a couple of tops over a mesh long sleeve. She also wears her “psycho-girl” back back and her Ellie wedge boots, with a jean skirt. The jean skirt has also come back, because people are like obsessed with “Y2K”. This NEXT outfit is serious. In the best way. A red and black tee over red mesh sleeves, complete with a red collar. And then she’s wearing what I like to call the patchwork British flag shirt, with a plaid skirt and that famous triple-grommet belt. Actually, these combinations aren’t really my favorite because I prefer when Ellie incorporates more vibrant colors, like that red. I don’t care about these white and pastel and floral accents.

This first Paige outfit is actually really cute but not one that we remember, ya know? She’s got a hot pink jacket on with furry details, and she’s paired it with some khakis. She also has a couple of little braids in her hair. So cute! And I also threw in a shot of her in her cheer practice clothes.

Here’s the collection of random shots and group shots from this episode. We see some baggy pants, chunky shoes, sparkly chains, horizontal stripes, scrunched hair, zip up hoodies, and Hell Hath No Fury in all their glory. Also this announcer guy at the mic, I don’t know who he is but I feel like he’s some kind of a famous athlete, like a basketball player.

Today I deliver to you loads of Ellie in one of her best fashion phases! So this is the episode where she’s a new girlfriend but doesn’t quite understand that being a girlfriend involves spending some alone time with the boyfriend. So let’s break down these ‘fits, shall we?

First, we have the FAMOUS Ellie side-pony for this entire episode. The first outfit is a black tank layered over black long sleeves, and accessorized with a statement belt and lots of spiky jewelry. I swear, this was my absolute dream wardrobe in high school. I didn’t quite have the resources to accomplish exactly that look but this is right up my alley. I forgot what the skirt is made of but it looks like tulle. I also got a shot of the back of her hair which features some braiding. I wonder if Ellie did that herself? Cuz we know her momma didn’t.

For the date, she wears an elegant long trench coat over a red blouse. The next fit is a zip up hoodie and some camo, over which we are again blessed with that trench. We also see the famous Ellie wedge boots. I swear, she is such a fashionista, I actually think it’s strange no one ever comments on her wardrobe.

And lastly, I just realized that the final outfit is… the same as the first outfit!

 Whisper to a Scream

Wow, this may be the most images I’ve ever included in one post. But, this is an Ellie episode, and I’m a sucker for Ellie fashion, so we’re doing this! This episode is really heavy material but we are just going to “skirt” around that and talk about fashion only, okay?

Ellie is known for combining various elements together and putting an edgy twist on them. So first we have a lace shirt under a leather vest, paired with arm warmers and a choker that feature pink detailing. And her braids will be an Ellie staple for a while. Honestly this ‘fit is a little clumsy to me and doesn’t quite work.

Next up, is an Ellie ‘fit for the ages. The white 3/4 sleeve tee with splits and buckle detailing. This is 100% something I would have worn, not that anyone’s asking. She accessorizes with spiky, chainy, chokery necklaces. She wears a red plaid pleated skirt that has some kind of suspender or strap hanging off. We also have fishnets and these amazing chunky wedge boots. It’s an amazing look and a real shame that Paige spilt something on it. She dons a big yellow raincoat for her interview with Caitlin.

Next, a brief glimpse of casual Ellie in a PJ shirt. And at school, another ensemble I love to worship. More chunky boots. Black leggings. Mesh. And a piece that I’m like 90% sure is by Tripp NYC.

Next, that white and bloody shirt over a black long sleeve with exposed seams of green. And then… AAAAH the red and black stripes, just soooo 2000s mall goth and I am living. We see a couple more outfits very briefly just to show that time is passing. So let’s skip ahead to…

The camo outfit. Cargo skirt. Grommet belt. Camo vest. Black long sleeve and arm warmers. Again, quite strange, but somehow, I’d like to say that this one works. Also featuring Ellie’s backpack which is not alt-looking at all.

 Pride, Part 2
Aired: 2003

Okay, real talk. Is it just me or is Ellie acting REALLY weird and unsympathetic about Marco getting assaulted? I’m to this day still confused about this little bit. Okay, so as I understand it, Marco doesn’t tell people he got beat up for being gay. Apparently he tells people he got “swarmed for his shoes”. And up until this very moment, I thought he meant he got beat up because his shoes looked gay. Is he trying to tell people he got beat up so people could steal his shoes? See, all of this sounds absurd. So I guess I understand why Ellie doesn’t know how to act. STILL though, she could be a bit more loving.

Ellie wears layered black shirts with what seems to be a full-length skirt made of green and black patches. She wears a choker and is faithfully sporting the pigtail braids. I love pigtail braids but I feel like they make me look like a little girl every time I wear them. Next is more black layers, layers of necklaces, and some kind of orange skirt too. Her brows are looking very 2000s. And finally we get a small glimpse of whatever she’s wearing while Snake gets his head shaved. Can’t really make it out but there’s definitely a lime-green seam on her sleeve. Do y’all remember, especially Hot Topic clothes, would have those inside-out seams, oftentimes a cool color like that?
