Toby still sits perfectly on the cusp between the 90s and the 2000s, sporting tiny glasses, that middle-part wedge kinda haircut, and lots of horizontal stripes. And I have to say, that his school picture, may be the best thing I’ve ever seen on Degrassi.
Rando roundup time! First are some tough-looking girls in shop class. Next is an Ellie lookalike – except she looks way scarier and meaner than Ellie – and also a dude wearing a jacket with stripes down the sleeve. Then just a few more random shots of random people, etc. I like including these miscellaneous shots because I think they do such a good job representing how regular kids really dressed in these days.
Jimmy first wears an athletic polo with a horizontal chest stripe. Then just a plain grey tee in gym. Then, a nice blue and yellow plaid shirt. He’s really an angel of a human in this episode. For me, I mean, I think he was already an angel, but back in the day, this episode really sealed the deal in helping me realize how compassionate Jimmy really is.
Omg y’all, Dylan is here! I have so many mixed feelings about Dylan. I feel like I appreciate him more as I get older. He has many faults of course. But I love his role as a gay jock. I love how he goes out into the world with confidence. But his whole role as a perpetual “example” and “mentor” almost takes away our ability to really get to know him. Anyway, so him and Paige and all Paige’s friends to to the beach, right? But it’s cold and rainy, lol. He’s wearing a striped athletic looking polo with shorts and flip flops, and ends up having to don a yellow rain jacket. And at school, he majestically stands up to Jay’s trolling in another horizontally-striped polo. Oh and he has this fluffy shaggy hair that you will continue to see on all the dudes.
You guys, we have arrived at one of the most legendary episodes of Degrassi history – the thong episode. But before we dive in to the whale’s tail, we have to review other people’s fashion. Here is Angie, wearing pigtails and a blue and yellow top.

Liz returns, serving midwife looks for us today. First, pigtails with clippies, and she’s sporting those skinny eyebrows too. She’s wearing.. what do you call this, a smock? And I’m sorry, but I find it incredibly disturbing that Shane was there for the birth. What do you guys think? Anyway, Liz then takes off her plastic suit and wears a horizontal striped zip up hoodie with khakis. I love casual khakis. Haha not really. Oh yeah, I also got a pic of this crazy antique camera for you.

Here’s the collection of random and miscellaneous people. First is a dude in an oversized denim shirt and a girl in a dark v-neck top. Then is a view of the “undesirable” hallway, featuring baggy clothes galore. Then, some naughty girl throwing a paper airplane, with a choppy haircut and a jean jacket. Next, this kinda looks like the same girl. Wearing a puka shell necklace and a striped tank. Then, a shot of bellbottoms from above. Next…the REAL Shane McKay in a goatee and a suit. And finally, this really mean and worried lady who works at the… place… where Emma’s birth dad stays.
