Manny time!! She still has this really cool shag haircut, the bangs of which can also be swept to the side. First she wears this long sleeve front-tie shirt over a matching cami. But some on, who cares about that, when we have this next outfit to analyze?! This is what Manny wears to the wedding: a silky, green, lingerie-inspired top, a sequined skirt, huge chandelier earrings, and strappy heels. Honestly, did high school students ever really dress this hot? I don’t know man, it seems kind of unrealistic. But, she looks lovely, and we can consider THIS *the* official outfit that wins Craig back. Manny’s green and sequins beats Ellie’s black lace. And our last outfit here is, Manny’s green pajamas and houseshoes.
Manny is dressing super cutely and summery lately, but we don’t get to see the ‘fits really. First is this ruffly yellow tank, and next is an orange tie-dye tee. Love Manny in yellows and oranges!
Manny returns for Venus Part 2! First she’s seen tooootally hung over in these lime green PJs and Emma’s parents seem to be totally okay with it. Next, Manny is clad in a Canadian tuxedo – jean jacket, low rise jeans, white tennies, and a frilly blue shirt underneath. This shirt has ruffles and bounce and it kinda matches her hair – which looks fantastic by the way. DAMN I love this hair! Then we return to the tracksuit vibes, though I don’t think we have any velour.
Oh right, we are kicking Season 5 off with a huge bang… Manny is coming in HOT am I right? Yeah things really get out of control in this season. We are kind of losing the relatability here. Sure, teen girls definitely struggle with fitting into beauty standards. Relatable. But we can’t relate to pursuing big-time acting and shopping for plastic surgery. I’m picturing Degrassi’s hand slipping out of my own as the relatability is plummeting and my grip is weakening. At least we have the whole “parents-willing-to-disown-you-at-the-drop-of-a-hat” bit. That’s relatable.
But let’s move on to the fashion. We start off with this swimsuit moment, featuring Manny in a hot pink bikini and large sunnies. And let me just say, I am LIVING for this S5 Manny hair. I ADORE these voluminous and perky shag. Next, her brows are waxed, her earrings are big, her tank is tight, and her khakis are low. Then she goes to the mall and tries on blonde wigs. What is our fixation with blondeness anyway? We briefly see her in a nice sequined tank layered over another tank and under a cardi. OH, I see, she’s trying these clothes on in the store. She’s also got low-rise jeans and a grommet belt here.
Next, for her impromptu audition with a talent agent, she wears gold wedges, a yellow ruffled mini skirt, and a matching tiny vest over what seems to be a bandeau. I mean, she really went all out for this look. Those tiny vests were SUCH a thing, I hope more of these show up as we go along. But the talent agent just let her have it. Then, we have a moment with this flip phone before we are back at school. I’m counting old tech as fashion. Manny is wearing her very famous stretchy orange halter under a weird green and orange zip up hoodie. Damn that hair is flouncy! She ties the hoodie around her waist to get verbally abused by her parents… before she goes to a rock-bottom party… where… well, you know what happens.

It’s pretty interesting that Manny was made to look so different for her role in the film. They put her in yellow for the dance, which she never wears. Her hair and makeup look different. And finally she wears a graphic tank and pink miniskirt. And apparently now she’s becoming a star, known as “that actress from the Kevin Smith movie”.

I always liked Manny’s look for her brief appearance in the movie. (This is what made her a star? lol) She sports super skinny eyebrows, her hair looks like she had a blowout, and this cheerleader uniform is in red which is a color Manny doesn’t wear often.
Manny is wearing some low-hanging pants and a zip up hoodie for Spirit Squad practice. And then, this hairstyle she wears while she’s comforting Emma outside is one of my favorites. It’s parted down the middle, clipped at the sides, and it’s just, BIG. I have a thing for big hair. Probably because I don’t have it myself. Manny’s outfit is a powder blue track suit over an orange athletic tee with some white tennies. Oh yeah, and minor detail, she gets into a huge fight with Paige! Love it. She was definitely better dressed for fighting. At Emma’s she ices her face in a yellow robe. And when she sees Chester, who by the way she already dumped, she’s mortified because she’s “disfigured”. I always thought it was so weird that people are embarrassed about temporary things out of their control. Like “oh sorry for these mosquito bites on my legs” or “sorry for this black eye”… umm… you’re forgiven? Manny quickly ties up her oversized tie-dying shirt to reveal super short shorts and some very tall wedge flip flops. Those shoes are freakin amazing. Her last outfit is her – I think this is a Ferrari jacket? I don’t remember.
Manny looks extra crisp here, I think she’s got on more makeup or something. Anyway, the brows are particularly bangin and she wears a low bun with her Spirit Squad uniform.
Manny doesn’t get much screen time in this episode. First, we see her in the distance here, and she is wearing these pants that would have been absolutely unacceptable in 2004 and no one can convince me otherwise. These aren’t capris – these are FLOOD PANTS and they are an abomination in this context. Next outfit is.. ohhh this is when she’s already shunning Spinner I think. She’s got sleek straightened hair, these 1960s gogo looking earrings, and a lace up halter.
Manny is glad to be the one not suffering sexual consequences for once. First she’s wearing this awesome pink velour track suit, low as it can go, with hoop earrings. Then she’s in this cute Asian-inspired top while she screams gonorrhea. We also get to see her in a couple of costumes from the play. I wish they’d gone ahead and made a special episode where they showed the play in full!
