Spinner looks like such a delinquent these days. I love the hair, as you know, but he does look really untrustworthy. maybe because he is. First he’s slacking at The Dot wearing a leather bracelet and his ball bearing necklace. Next he’s “dressed up” to try to sweet talk his way back into school after getting kicked out. Shoutout to the skater belt and tongue ring. He wears a beanie to break into the school, and again appears in Hot Sauxe’s office in a red button down. Just total loser era right here.
Time for all the miscellaneous grabs from this episode. First is this horrid group at The Dot. Ah, I see from their book that they are a birdwatchers club. They’re dressed awfully rugged to be strolling around a city park gazing at birds. The leader of this group has tiny glasses and skinny eyebrows. We sure liked things small around the eyes back then, didn’t we? Next is this nurse at the blood drive. She’s scary. And she’s wearing scrubs, nothing really to talk about there. Caitlin’s camera dude is wearing a khaki jacket. Blood donors are wearing baggy or flared jeans with white tennies. And here’s Dylan’s new dude – what was his name… Eric or something? I can’t believe I didn’t take note. He’s wearing a black tank and a puka shell necklace. We briefly see a janitor in work clothes – not sure why I included that.
Oh yeah, Mike. Not to be confused with Wheels’s birth dad. Or Mike Dallas, who comes much later. No, this is Dorm Mike. He seems kinda sweet, but Marco promptly ghosts him. He’s decently dressed in a button down but there’s not much else to say about him, fashion-wise.
Oh man, it’s time for Marco’s moment. First he’s in a zip up jacket, hoodie, and some kind of like comic book shirt. Also shout out the soul patch, don’t know if I’ve ever mentioned it before, but there it is, looking itchy. Next Marco is in just a standard graphic tee with something random & unrelated on it, and I like his hair like this – curly and tucked behind the ears. He’s also seen helping with the blood drive in casual khakis and this red blood vest. Oh yeah, he’s being told he can’t give blood because he’s gay. Yeesh. Next, the outfit continues on, and we’re in Dylan’s dorm. Here we can see that these casual khakis are also FLARED! Shoutout to Marco’s flares, I feel like no one ever mentions them but I am such a fan of men in flares. I was hoping it would come back big time for men when flares circled around in the late 90s/2000s, but sadly it was mostly girls wearing them. Marco also seems to have this decorative belt on his waist, and lugs around a messenger bag. And he freakin walks in on Dylan with another guy. And Dylan’s like, “Oh hey Marco!” Brutal. Marco tries his best to suck it up, so he appears at the dorm party in an orange sleeveless tee with flare jeans. Oh yeah and plants a smooch on Craig. Our last look is Marco in a dark long sleeve, with hair hair still big.
Haha, even funnier seeing Jay in shadow like this, all ominous. I like his character here. He’s a total loner but like, unbothered. He’s trying to move in on Spinner, like the freaking DEVIL SERPENT, I love it. He wears this kinda black cargo jacket lookin thing, and baggy pants, cool shades, and his backwards hat. He gives a nice rock-bottom vibe trying to steal a bike for the hell of it. Oh and turns out he’s actually not such a bad guy, because he doesn’t want to burn the school down like Spinner does. Can’t believe y’all like Spinner.
Hot Sauce is still all professional, her hair still choppier than it used to be. And she just wears a lot of suits and blazers. Though I have to shoutout this PINK blazer!
Emma is only seen for a moment here at the blood drive, telling Spike to STFU while she’s getting needled. Emma seems to be growing out those 90s bangs, and she wears a purple zip up hoodie.
“MONOGAMY, WOW, what a concept!” Haha, it would have been funny if Ellie ended up cheating on someone one day. Oh shoot, (hah) she’s wearing the basketball hoop today! Have we covered this thing yet? This is one of the most wretched and bizarre garments of Degrassi. What is happening, and WHY?! I don’t even need to describe this to you. It’s a BASKETBALL HOOP around her torso! Anyway, sometimes I’m really buying the “goth” look on her but today she’s not selling it. Her hair looks very basic as well as her makeup, nothing to support that strange outfit. However, this second look here is super cute. A black shirt with pink detail, a side part, and a flip phone.
Ugh. This is where things get really disappointing. Dylan is in college now, and turns out he’s not such a fan of monogamy after all. Thing is, he failed to have a conversation with Marco about it. I remember in the preview for this episode, they showed Dylan in bed with this guy. Freakin earth-shattering! He’s got his hair big, he looks pretty athletic in this striped polo, and ugh he’s just sickening me at this party encouraging Marco to go get his own side piece. Hard to even talk about the fashion right now.
