Liz O’Rourke Fashion 4.9: Liz Looks

DH FASHION
DH S1E9: Sixteen Part 1
Aired: 1990

Shocklingly, we see Liz smile a bit in this episode. Guess what she’s smiling at. Her best friend’s boyfriend, of course. Anyway, Liz wears some harvesty hues of reds and oranges atop black. Some rather cute styles this episode. Enjoy her cute, fresh-bleached Chelsea cut while it lasts cuz pretty soon she’s gonna start doing that Pebbles Flintstone ponytail on the top of her head.

Joey Jeremiah Fashion 4.9: Joey Jamboree

First, Joey’s ready for St. Patrick’s Day in that green shirt with extra-long sleeves, and a green vest. Then, I’m almost enjoying the obnoxiousness of this orange shirt, and blue-green vest, complete with the visible tee underneath.

Heather Farrell Fashion 4.9: Heather Heaven

I think it’s been a white since I’ve appreciated the twins’ hair. Let’s all take a moment and just look at those tightly curled, golden brown locks, with their infinite volume and perfect 80s-ness. First, Heather wears a black and white striped sweater, and then the dons this lovely girly ensemble of a sweater with a cute scalloped collar and what appears to be an overall-skirt.

Erica Farrell Fashion 4.9: Erica Ensembles

First, Erica wears a striped skirt with a black belt, and a black tank under a – you guessed it – black and white jacket. She accessorizes with some pink earrings and a pink headband. Our second outfit on display here is a polka dotted top under a striped cardi, this time with blue earrings.

Bronco Davis Fashion 4.9: Bronco Bliss

Bronco is looking SUPER cool and honestly I’m afraid that there is a purpose behind this color combo that I am unaware of. Anyway, he wears this matching shirt and shorts set, white with green, yellow, and red stripes.

BLT Thomas Fashion 4.9: BLT Bombshell

DH FASHION
DH S1E9: Sixteen Part 1
Aired: 1990

BLT, oh BLT. First, he’s sporting his super cool haircut and earring, wearing a personalized sweatshirt indicating what his name is. Then he’s wearing his Degrassi letter jacket or whatever you call those things, with a popped collar and some dangling overalls. We also have a brief look at this colorless tee-shirt, and THEN, check out these crazy bibless overalls which he pairs with a polo. And a belt. I mean, isn’t the point of overalls that you don’t have to wear a belt? Yeah, I know, fashion ain’t always about functionality. BLT’s fashion choices are often quite perplexing but entertaining.

Alexa Pappadopoulos Fashion 4.9: Alexa Adoration

DH FASHION
DH S1E9: Sixteen Part 1
Aired: 1990

Y’all, we are officially in 1990. Well, that was the air date of this episode. I guess it was filmed in the 80s. Anway, it’s kind of sad, though obviously there’s not a distinct border between decades, and this is generally considered an 80s show. Even though the 90s doesn’t sound quite as magical, here we are. And Alexa is helping us with the transition. First she wears a royal blue button down. Then a green turtleneck, and a yellow rainjacket. Finally, she wears a lavender tee with the sleeves cuffed, tucked into some rather cargo-looking pants, and a bandanna tied around her neck.

Tessa Campanelli Fashion 4.8: Tessa Taste

DH S1E8: Little White Lies
Aired: 1989

To Melanie’s party, Tessa wears a purple tee that looks like it fits everywhere except the extra long sleeves. Ok, 80s. Then, omg we see her riding on her bike in all baby pink and it is just so adorable and carefree looking.

Melanie Brodie Fashion 4.8: Melanie Moment

DH FASHION
DH S1E8: Little White Lies

Melanie shamelessly dresses like a full on 1950’s woman. It’s not even subtle. It’s just BAM in your face let’s go to the sock hop. Honestly those scarf-tied side ponytails kind of get on my nerves, but I’m trying to appreciate. She definitely delivers variety to DH. First, we have a light blue cardi, pearls, a freakin hot pink hair scarf, and a floral skirt. Then we do see her wearing a floral top from junior high. Then for the party, Melanie gets a little wild, ditching the cardis and exposing her arms. And finally, just a green patterned shirt, a blue pencil skirt, and a mad hangover. (It always annoyed me how she had to make a point “I am never drinking again, I felt SO BAD on Saturday.” Like, yeah, yeah, writers, we get it, drinking is bad.)
