You GUYS!!! We have just crossed the line into SEASON 3! Isn’t this surreal? The kids are growing up right before our eyes. And this episode finally gives us old-school fans a little bit of attention. We also get to see major style changes in many of the gang. Which is bittersweet. For example, Ashley has taken a few steps back from the extremity of goth and just settled on “rocker girl”. I mean, it’s okay. It’s whatever. She’s grown her hair out a bit and it has some red color in it. She’s nonchalantly wearing a random tee and low-rise jeans. And she sees an old picture of Spike and is already talking about how maybe that should be her next look. Trend-squatter!

Terri is such an angel in this episode. I love her role here of comforting Craig as she has also lost a parent. First she’s wearing her white peasant top with a periwinkle hoodie. Then she’s wearing her hair back with the “face-framing tendrils” as I call them, and leis and florals and floral print and she’s just wonderful.

First we see Spinner is his caf uniform. I just love him in bright orange with an apron and a hairnet. I like to see him humbled. Then, ya know, he ALMOST looks cool in this photo of him in a grey tee next to Paige. But the robe at the tanning salon – where he did NOT enjoy himself – that’s iconic. And he walks away with a spray tan instead. So finally, at the dance, he’s looking patchy and muddy and orange. Now, we must say: GOOD BYE SPINNER’S 2ND-BEST HAIR!!!!

I’m delivering to you now the minor, random, miscellaneous fashion moments from the episode. First we have a priest in his priest suit. Then we have a colleague of Albert talking about how nice Albert was. Then we have the tanning bed attendant wearing pigtails, a ruched crop top, and sweatpants. Then a group shot of the many students at the luau. This luau seems somehow dreary; I guess they did that on purpose. Maybe it’s the lighting. Idk. And finally, is Craig’s dead dad’s doppelganger. Creepy.
