Craig is still in his annoying phase, style-wise. Here he is in just, bland, colorless garments and his yellow camera strap. Oh yeah, he does don Joey’s fedora for a split second before he gets kicked out of Snake’s bachelor party. That last shot is him gawking at the stripper who has just knocked on the door.

Yay, Caitlin is here for Spike’s wedding! First she wears flare jeans and a form-fitting tan corduroy jacket over a maroon tee. We also need to talk about her hair. This was one of the hairstyles of the time – it’s fully colored, no highlight/lowlight/roots, etc, just flat out blonde. And not just any blonde, it’s that golden blonde – what I like to call Playboy blonde. I’m a fan, but I want you to look around and observe. If your location is anything like mine, we currently aren’t seeing a lot of yellow-blonde lately. Right now it’s all about the silvery ash blonde. Interesting how things change.

We’ve arrived at the first Degrassi episode I ever saw!! White Wedding, Spike and Snake’s wedding episode! We kick off with Angie rejoicing about going to Grandma’s. (I wish we could have actually seen Ms. Jeremiah again.) She’s wearing a purpley pink sweater and some hair clippies.

Toby’s still rockin the middle part. First we wears a red polo, then a grey one while he is yelling that he’s Jewish, and finally a blue tee with an orange chest stripe.

Terri is mentioning she is Scottish, wearing a grey hooded vest over a pink tee and her hair all done up in twisties. She miraculously has the same exact hairdo the next day while wearing a pale button down. And lastly, we get a closeup of her listening to Hazel’s speech, wearing a headband and some kind of white top.

Spinner is wearing his tees as usual, but also sporting the awesome bleached and spiked hair. For international day he wears a bunch of different items and cooks a pizza with toppings all representing his various heritages.

Snake Simpson Fashion 2.11

First Snake is wearing this awful beige polo shirt. I hate to call anyone “washed out” but this…. is a big no. But wow, we get something slightly different when he wears a tee with the Swedish flag on it for International Day. And finally, he introduces Hazel for her public confession, wearing some dark, colorless tee. Yawn.

Sean is just being toxically masculine in his jean jacket and various tees – blue, grey, and white. Heh yeah Sean I’d love to see you have a wardrobe malfunction and then see how manly you are.

Now it’s time for the minor characters, group shots, and other miscellaneous fashion moments. First, I just captured this guy with bedhead and a hoodie for some reason. Then a Degrassi student in a silky hijab. Then, someone in sewing class with an interesting hemline to her pink shirt, which is under a zip up hoodie, Degrassi Community School’s favorite clothing item. Next is Wayne, the guy who owns the Caribbean restaurant. He is such a sweetie. He wears a floral shirt and an apron. And finally just a little group shot of some random kids in low rise pants, capris, etc.

Since I’m all grown up and woke now, I also have to complain about this little bit where Raditch is commenting on how short Paige’s skirt and shirt are, and staring at it too. Like bro is totally staring at it, and then acting like he’s just a victim to her risque outfit. Are you gonna try a freaking pierogi or not? If Paige’s outfit is not against dress code, and we know it’s not, then why is he mentioning it, and gawking at it? That’s creepy as hell. And even if it’s not creepy, it’s still unsolicited negative critique. Literally came up to her and told her how short her clothes are. Like, okay? “I’ve never seen anything like your outfit.” Would Raditch comment on Toby’s shorts? No, he wouldn’t. Would he even COMMENT on a dude’s heritage outfit in any way? No because dudes’ clothes aren’t really topics of commentary like girls’ are. I mean, older men come into my office and tell me how cute that dress is on me or that they love red lipstick on me, and I just hate it. Like, this isn’t American Idol. I’m not presenting myself on display for your feedback. I’m literally just sitting at my desk trying to blog about Degrassi, er, I mean, do work. Anyway, Degrassi does miss the point sometimes. (As I have seen with Terri’s body image, JT’s sewing skills, and now Paige’s outfit.) Sometimes Degrassi doesn’t get to the fundamental root of the situation. But we all have missed the point sometimes, we all still do sometimes. But we’ve come a long way.

Anyway…. Raditch is Scottish or Irish or something, hence the kilt. I will admit I googled to see if kilts are Scottish or Irish, and the internet said both. It’s kind of hilarious that he wears his normal principal outfit except changes out the pants for the kilt. Actually, Mr. Raditch, I’m sorry but your kilt is kind of short, wow look at those legs. I’ve never seen anything like it.
