I love the back-to-school episodes, getting to see an updated version of everyone, fresh-faced and not beaten down by another year at Degrassi. Paige wears a white corset/lingerie-style top, some low rise jeans, a blue messenger bag with a star on it, and of course her sunnies always tucked into the front of her shirt. Next she wears a reddish kind of tank that we don’t get to see much of.

Despite the fact we have OGs returning to the Degrassi screen, we don’t really get to SEE them. They’re just passing glimpses that are barely on screen for a few seconds. Sadly this is all I was able to get of Heather, here at Spike’s baby shower. She wears a white turtleneck and a neck scarf.

This is an EMMA episode y’all! First she is wearing her hair half-back, a tank, shorty shorts, and Birkenstocks. Spike disrupts her peace by… pretending to go into labor? Uh, okay. Then she’s at school, with a white long sleeve tee under a green short sleeve, her hippie purse, a dolphin necklace, and a beaded headband. Next, she’s at Spike’s baby shower in a jean jacket. She’s developing an interest in Shane McKay. Next is a shot of her houseshoes as she’s sneaking down to the computer to see if she can look him up. Finally, at school, she wears a peasanty button up blouse over a green tank. She’s urgently trying to convince Sean to skip school with her. Why? Stay tuned for part 2….

You GUYS!!! We have just crossed the line into SEASON 3! Isn’t this surreal? The kids are growing up right before our eyes. And this episode finally gives us old-school fans a little bit of attention. We also get to see major style changes in many of the gang. Which is bittersweet. For example, Ashley has taken a few steps back from the extremity of goth and just settled on “rocker girl”. I mean, it’s okay. It’s whatever. She’s grown her hair out a bit and it has some red color in it. She’s nonchalantly wearing a random tee and low-rise jeans. And she sees an old picture of Spike and is already talking about how maybe that should be her next look. Trend-squatter!

So I finally remembered what they are competing for – “Luau King and Queen”. But first, Paige is seen wearing this denim jumpsuit which is actually super cute! Next she’s at the tanning salon, wearing her robe and waiting for her turn, hilariously ogling men in a bodybuilder magazine. And at the dance, she looks like a hot mess and I love that her hair matches her skirt! lol. The festive ‘fit is complete with capris, platforms, and a crop top. And sadly, she did not win luau queen, so she got sunburned for nothing.
