Emma is wearing her perfect color scheme in this episode – green and browns. She wears her hair in a little twisty thing, a green and white tank, olive pants, and a tan jacket. I really liked her friendship with Craig.

Craig’s dad sports tiny sunglasses, slicked back hair, and suits with wide-leg fit pants. I feel very conflicted about Craig’s dad. Just this whole concept of toxic parents. Look at that last pic, of him standing in his yard, knowing he’s now 100% alone. I mean, that’s super sad! I have a problem where I feel sympathy (however brief) for even the worst people sometimes. But for real, the fashion stylings of the Manning household somehow make you uncomfortable. The suits to me portray inflexibility, formality, facade. And Craig’s drab wardrobe shows that basically the life has been sucked out of him.

I’ve got an incredibly special surprise for you! This special moment is something you can only spot if you’re really looking for it! Yick Yu makes an appearance at this party at Spike’s house. It’s very subtle and low-key, which I understand, I mean the 12-year-old audience isn’t gonna care about this random “old” dude, but they SHOULD! Yick is wearing awesome tiny little shades, spiked hair, and a brown jacket.

One thing I liked about the transition form Season 1 to Season 2 is that you see everyone coming back with new hair. So Toby here looks a little less dorky, having had that middle-part bowl cut trimmed up to look a bit more mature. His style is generally the same, though. So enjoy these chunky tennies, baggy pants, polos, and button downs open over tees.

Terri’s stepped up from her usual pajama and or athletic-chic style for this episode. Her hair is down and pulled half back, and she sports hoop earrings, a floral blouse, and a denim pencil skirt. She does put on a hoodie and tennis shoes though, to make it a bit more casual. And then I did throw in this pic of her from Toby’s dating computer program or whatever the heck is going on there. And that’s more of her normal style. Something you’d sleep in, except worn to school.

For our miscellaneous shots today, I first grabbed this dude in a gingham shirt and also, like huge bright yellow shorts, a few other baggy outfits in the background. Then, is this wonderful example here, one of the best fashion moments from the halls of DCS – the dudes with the mullets. When Paige is asked, what is a mullet, she points to them and growls, “THAT.” And this dude on the right definitely has a prize winning mullet. And I think it’s a requirement that a mullet must pair with denim. And the dude on the left is like a rebel/punk kinda guy who actually looks a lot like Johnny DiMarco (but thankfully we don’t have to think about him for several more years). Then, Angie’s day care teacher is watching Craig who is definitely acting as creepy as possible – I captured her because she’s got those awesome skinny 2000s eyebrows, yes queen! As I’m writing this on the blog, it’s October, the month I indulge in shaving off my brows for costume purposes, so I’ve been having fun drawing those 2000s brows on my own face. And finally, Joey is trying to sell a car to this nice looking couple dressed in traditional cultural garb, which I will not even attempt to identify, but it’s beautiful.

Okay so, this is the part of the B plot where Paige is convinced she has a mullet. That’s a hilarious notion, but I don’t quite see it. I mean, I see what they tried to do. They poofed up the top and pinned it back the way someone might when trying to hide an actual mullet, but… I think they could have made this even funnier. Ah well, no shade intended. Besides the “mullet”, Paige displays excellent 2000s style. First, we get some classic tinted frameless shades. She wears a butterfly crop top that looks like it came straight out of Limited Too. It’s so hilarious how obscene and jarring low rise/hip hugger jeans look today. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I’m just now coming to the realization that they aren’t “cool” anymore, but still, sometimes when I get hit with a sight of someone’s lower abdomen I’m like WHOA. And really that’s what makes me realize it’s not current anymore. Seriously, follow a few 2000s fashion accounts on instagram and you’ll come to a LOT of realizations. And you’ll probably be shocked at seeing 6 inches of skin below Paris Hilton’s bellybutton. Anyway, with this outfit, she’s also got a clear backpack. Next I included this shot of Paige from like, Toby and JT’s freakin, dream date webpage or something – not much to report, just wavy hair and a white shirt. Next, another set of low rise jeans, a crop top, and tinted glasses. This time the top is purple, complete with stars on the boobs. You know, she was slightly risque in the halls of Degrassi before Manny stole the title.

I try to avoid sharing screenshots with opening credits in them but it couldn’t be avoided for this first Manny ‘fit. These pigtail braids, hairties matching the orange and pink outfit, it’s just a special moment that we really should enjoy. Soak up all the innocent Manny you can. I can already feel her changing. The next outfits is more ponytail braids, cropped pants, tennis shoes, and a green tank with that curly wavy edge they used on the 90s/2000s. I feel like there’s a term for that, and I tried to google it, but no dice.
