First Spinner is just, wearing a grey tee and a plastic looking watch, hair spiked, and a beaded necklace. And he comes to the shocking realization that his best friend Jimmy is racist. But he presses on, intending to break dance at the big dance. He wears a baggy blue getup and a chain.

LOL god. Snake is wearing a bland monochromatic outfit complete with Wallaby shoes. I can’t even say much more than that. It pains me. However, he finally is somewhat interestingly dressed for the daytime 80s dance. A styled wig, a multicolored shirt, two? vests, and some eye makeup. Again,  idk who he’s dressed as, sorry. He even plays “Everybody Wants Something”. Okay, so when I was first watching this show, I think I understood by now that there was an 80s Degrassi and that’s where a lot of the grown ups came from. They’ve mentioned their band before and I was assuming it was gonna be a really cool 80s rock band, right? Like, the 80s were heavy and awesome (this is my teenage thought here okay?). And then, when Snake plays “Everybody Wants Something” over the speakers, I was like. Seriously? THIS is the band they talk so much about? This is the dorkiest thing ever. Anyway, the last picture is him making out with Spike in a normal grown up Snake shirt.

It’s a shame Raditch isn’t dressed like the 80s for this dance. Oh wait. He is. This is exactly what he wore in the 80s.

“Guys, like, take a downer!” Paige wears blue tinted glasses, a crocheted headband, and her hair all nicely curled under, with a denim button up shirt and a clear backpack. And then, for the 80s dance, she dresses as Madonna, in pedal pushers, ruffly socks, all black, big hair, a green headscarf, and a lot of jewelry.

Liberty time! It seems the school has been handing out those plastic sunglasses left and right because everyone’s got em. Here’s Liberty doing announcements with Mohammed in overalls and a yellow top. And she too goes all out for the 80s dance. Unfortunately if she’s dressed up as an 80s figure, I couldn’t tell you who it is. I am surprisingly 80s culture deprived. Liberty wears her hair big, lipstick and eyeshadow, bulky jewelry, and some sort of black sequined outfit which I can’t quite make out in this pitch black school. But she is definitely feeling herself.

Jimmy is in some kinda polo top with a chain and a popped collar, and a sweatband on his wrist. And then of course is another iconic image – Drake dressed up like Michael Jackson. He’s got loafers, sparkly socks, flooding pants, red leather jacket, a sequined shirt, two belts, and.. a jheri curl hairdo? I don’t know how to use jheri curl in a sentence. His hair is in jheri curl? He wears a jheri curl? I’m sorry, I don’t know. Anyway, there it is. Enjoy. It’s a surprisingly hard ‘fit to capture, it being so dark at the dance.

I don’t think Hazel has any lines but I am glad we get to see this awesome Tina Turner getup. Big earrings, big hair, blue blazer, and yellow skirt.

Emma is in this purpley-pink ribbed polo shirt, her hair kinda pulled half back, these slightly flared flooding pants with like, striping on the bottom, and tennis shoes with socks. I love how it’s basically acceptable to wear tennis shoes with anything in the 80s and 90s and 2000s. Wait, is it still? But let’s get onto the real content of this post, Emma dressed up like Spike, or Cyndi Lauper as she asserts. This is the 80s dance episode by the way, and Emma and Manny have decided to sneak into the nighttime dance for which they are too young. She wears a plaid skirt, an oversized shirt tied up, a vest with buttons, and crimped and teased hair in true Spike fashion. And a bunch of eye makeup that creased terribly by the end of the night. Where’s your primer and setting spray, girl?

Fortunately, we get a break from Craig’s browns, greys, leather jacket, and yellow camera strap for this iconic Sid Vicious costume. He wears an England flag tank, ripped up pants, and lots of necklaces. It looks pretty cool. Joey offers his fedora, and I can’t tell if it makes the look better or worse.
