Craig’s dad scares the crap outta me. Way more than Rick’s dad did. Something about the whole aesthetic of the Manning family. The out of date, brown, colorless house, their blank and dreary wardrobes, all of it really complements the discomfort. Here are a few of his looks – suits, dress shirts, tiny glasses.

Welcome Craig, the lonely, poor sweet, wounded baby bird. I’m not the biggest Craig fan but I guess I like him when he was younger, although his acting was a bit too “I’ve done far more theatre classes than the rest of the cast” for my taste. His signature look in this episode is a leather jacket and that school bus yellow camera strap. He generally has a very no-frills kind of look and wears dark colors. I suppose this is meant to represent both his mystery and misery.

Welcome back, Ashley! I love goth Ashley but it’s also bittersweet to know this is one of the last few times we’ll see “normal” Ashley. So, she’s still being shunned this year after taking ecstasy at the end of year party last year. She’s wearing this 3/4 sleeve top that has like, a scene perhaps? on the front but the sleeves are black. Her hair has gotten longer, and she still sports that cross body bag with her little phone tucked in the front pocket. Then we have a little shot of her wearing red, my favorite color on her.

Welcome to Season 2! And welcome back to broomheadz Angie, Joey’s daughter. She’s so darling and seriously a good little actor! First she’s wearing a blue tee with a flower on it. Then, a dark jean jacket and possibly a beret. Then a crown and an orange striped shirt with some jeans. It feels silly reviewing a kindergartner’s fashion, but hey – I’ve reviewed baby Emma’s bonnets before, so it is what it is.

Poor Toby. He didn’t choose the drugs, the drugs chose him. He wears a practically monochromatic outfit – an open plaid shirt, a tee with a horizontal chest stripe, and baggy cargo pants. For ecstasy night he wears a grey shirt, somehow illustrating his squareness even further. Oh hell yeah, I forgot it’s got these ultralong sleeves. Hilarious! And another horizontal chest stripe. And for the morning after, a washed out green tee that’s so colorless I can’t stand it. Men in the 2000s had very little options.

Spinner finishes off his last day of school and then makes an appearance at the drug den wearing a black hoodie with some kind of graphic on it. Then, he delivers a breakup box to Ash in a large navy tee and man necklace.

Gag me with a spoon! Once again Paige is wearing the same hair on 2 different days – a nice unfinished ponytail with face-framing tendrils. First she’s in a fuzzy mauve sweater with bell sleeves and purple headband. Next a crocheted headband, and a red cropped tee that says “I ❤ to make boys cry”. That’s a 2000s moment if I ever saw one. And there she goes, provoking Ashley to do something cool for once – and it backfires big time.
