We are lucky enough to get Joey’s momma back for School’s Out! She’s just spoiling Joey as usual, wearing a striped oversize shirt, a printed dress, and then a bathrobe.

We’ve got a doozy here – assessing Joey in School’s Out. Fortunately for him we are just going to stick to the fashion. First we see him ring shopping for Caitlin in this pale green shirt and patterned vest. For the grad party he wears this billowy long sleeve button down, which I seem to remember is silky, and a tie. Everyone is just so cute in the summer in Canada. Down here where I live we are sweaty, itchy, and frizzy if we go outside. Moving on, here he is in his little work vest at the pharmacy. Next, he’s checking out Wheels’s hunkajunk in an open button down, shorts, and white tennies. Next is a little glimpse of some crazy shirt, then a peachy shirt + vest + fedora combo, oof and a very smug face. Next is another silky-looking billowy boyfriend shirt. Okay I’m starting to feel like every sentence is the same. Do I really need to go on? Oh, I do want to mention that horrible “naughty and nice” shirt Tessa gave Joey. What the heck is that? Of course he’s only going to wear that as pajamas. Alright well, just enjoy the rest of the spread which I’m not going to spend time describing more versions of the same outfits basically. Oh yeah and I gave you a shot of him in his panties. Which look awfully scratchy by the way.

I’ve combined Heather & Erica into one post too. I’m SO glad to see them in School’s Out, even though they don’t really have big parts. It looks like they’ve ditched the black-and-white clothing theme which is sad, but they do look gorgeous in color too. At the graduation party, Erica wears an off-the-shoulder dress of many colors, and pom-pom earrings. Heather wears a colorful sleevess turtleneck dress, a chain belt and statement earrings as well. For the wedding, Erica wears a very mature gingham suit, and I guess I didn’t capture Heather because she was covered up, moving too fast, or any of the other reasons why broomheadz can’t get what it wants. I captured as much as I could but it was very tricky.

When you think of School’s Out, who do you think of? Chances are it’s probably Caitlin. That’s why we have a crapton of Caitlin shots for you today. Now I don’t know how it is that this movie is able to convey emotions so strongly. This film is so tangible. You can feel the sun on your skin, you can smell the parties, you can feel the feelings. So Caitlin’s ups and downs really take me along for the ride.
On to the fashion, her hair is a golden hue now, and still pretty big for graduation. I got a little closeup of the ring that Joey got for her, a heart with diamonds. To the post-grad party, she wears a grey belted dress. And the next morning her hair is enormous and she wears a bathrobe. Then her waitressing uniform is like a beer maiden outfit or something but it’s cute. We get a shot of some blue blouse that I can’t describe any more than that. Then we live a little summer fantasy in this long blue halter dress. Then, she’s daydreaming about sex in this purple one piece. I remember when swimsuits felt like this. The material was kinda thin, the suit was too big in some places and too tight in others, and chlorine would eat up the fabric real quick. For a big date night, she wears a collar necklace and a green top, condom in tow. And for the big infamous party, she wears this blue tunic with a black belt and black shorts. It’s super cute outfit. Then, we get a brief look at her visiting Lucy in the hospital in an oversized button down. And finally, to the wedding she wears a shiny gold dress, an updo, and pearls, looking like a full grown lady.

We get some Bronco moments in School’s Out, primarily in the role of supportive boyfriend. But he wears a couple of button downs, and a university tee to the party.

Amy and Allison make a final appearance (actually, we do get to catch up with Allison one more time) and they are just living it up! The style has definitely shifted and we are definitely in the 90s. Allison wears dangly earrings and floral dress with shoulderpads, and for the big party she wears a floral t-shirt and green shorts. Amy wears a pretty sundress and for the party dons a tee and shorts. And of course they get wasted and almost die.

After trying to screencap this pair individually, I realized it’s easiest to just combine them into one post! Sorry they’re all out of order, but you remember what happens – they’re engaged, they fight a little bit while partying, and then they get married! Alexa’s hair is a nice warm shade of brown, and we get to see her in a blue tank and patterned shorts, her graduation gown, and this AWESOME post grad dress that’s off the shoulder and ruffly, then a couple of floral tees. And finally, a great early 90s wedding dress, very extra and very poofy. As for Simon, he’s grown his hair into a bit of a shag, and he wears a lot of the same that we’re used to – button downs, khakis, polos. But come on, let’s talk about what we’re really all here to talk about – Simon got a perm for his wedding day. I’m not really sure what to say about it. But he’s a nice poodly groom. It actually doesn’t look that bad. He could pull off the naturally-curly thing.
So yeah, I’m really glad we got to see Simon and Alexa in this movie, I’m glad they came back. I just love Alexa, she’s a bright ray of sunshine, and Simon is not so bad either.
Should I do a “where are they now” segment at the end of all this? I’m not sure if I want to or not, but I’ll say that I am honored and privileged to have been able to correspond with Ms. Irene (Alexa) the past couple of years via broomheadz. She’s one of my favorite characters so I’m still extremely humbled at the thought! From what I can see, she is having a great life and has a beautiful family.
As for Michael (Simon), I could have sworn I saw that he worked on TV or film sets behind the scenes. I think I found his LinkedIn or something at some point. But I just now did a brief little search and couldn’t locate him. I didn’t go into full stalker mode or anything though.
