Sweet little baby Manny wears a half pony, a yellow frilly crop top with lots of ruching, and some purple denim shorts.

Thank the stars Lucy is back! And she is keeping up with the times because she looks 2000s as all getout. She wears this orangey-tan tank, at this length that I wouldn’t call CROPPED but it was definitely just the standard length of shirts back then. Finally I can confirm and identify certain trends because I can finally say “I WAS THERE.” She also wears the standard low-rise jeans with a belt covered in holes/hardware. The also wears thin-framed sunglasses.

Although I thought screencapping DTNG would be easier, it’s really not. My challenges now are the shaky-handheld-camera style, and a whole lot of closeups which make it hard to capture the outfit. But anyway, ENTER JT! He’s got on a giant tie-dye shirt, a nice 2000s-y necklace, and dons Joey’s old fedora for humor.

Caitlin’s back, and of course she’s kinda famous! But it’s so weird that even though she’s famous and rich, she’s not 100% happy, right? Anyway, so apparently, the age she is right here in this episode is the age I am right now. LOL. I look and act more like the school kids to this day, but whatever. Anyway, she’s got this short haircut and a nice blonde color. She wears this skin-tight red tank top with horizontal slits along the back, and some black pants. And we get a little look at the giant rock on her hand bought for her by a total jerk.

This feels crazy. Finally writing about DTNG after 4.5 years of broomheadz is a long-awaited and exciting moment. Although DJH/DH are my favorite, DTNG is what I grew up with. In 2001 I was 13. Let’s do this!
We start off with Angie, Joey’s daughter. She’s wearing an orange tee, some turquoise overalls, a floral bandanna, and a cute little necklace and bracelet.

I can’t believe this is it. We sign off of Degrassi Junior High / Degrassi High forever now, with Yick! Man, you thought Yick was cool before, he has reached maximum coolness by School’s Out – look at this! He smokes a joint in a bandanna and backwards cap, a tee with a vest, and jeans rolled up at the bottom. At the lake he’s still besties with Luke I see, and wears the same headgear and a cool 90s looking tee. And finally, at Simon and Alexa’s wedding he’s got that hair slicked back and a nice tan suit. OK YICK!

The images within this post bring so many thoughts. Despite his unexplainable loveability, Wheels wasn’t the best person – we all know that. And I feel like in this episode, all his faults and worst qualities culminated into a perfect storm that ended in disaster. This ending was just, such a shocker. I mean, I kinda already knew about it because I watched it in like 2015 after I’d already kinda heard it mentioned in TNG and the internet and whatnot. But I can’t imagine what people were feeling, watching this for the first time in 1992.
Anyway, Wheels’s style has changed a bit by now. His hair is longer and poofier, and his clothes are greasier and dirtier, and he wears more bandannas. It’s a look though, I do like it. But his looks and behaviors do make me uneasy throughout the movie. I don’t know why, it’s like, he’s throwing all caution and care to the wind, and you can see it happening. He’s turned super smug and doesn’t look or seem like himself.
And can we just take a moment to talk about that deleted scene from DTNGS1E1 at the class reunion where Wheels comes to apologize to Lucy? Man that is heart-wrenching. But I’m glad he came out the other side. And I hope he found some joy.
