It’s a shame Raditch isn’t dressed like the 80s for this dance. Oh wait. He is. This is exactly what he wore in the 80s.

“Guys, like, take a downer!” Paige wears blue tinted glasses, a crocheted headband, and her hair all nicely curled under, with a denim button up shirt and a clear backpack. And then, for the 80s dance, she dresses as Madonna, in pedal pushers, ruffly socks, all black, big hair, a green headscarf, and a lot of jewelry.

Wow, it’s our first Mohammed appearance! I remember this actor from another show called Radio Free Roscoe. It’s a shame he turns out to be a senseless jerk. In doing the announcements with Liberty, I’m assumed he’s dressed like the 80s in this bulky acid wash jean jacket.

Oh my god, it’s our first Marco sighting! Turns out he is an award-winning break dancer. He’s parting the hallway with his moves in red pants and a blue shirt. Then he walked by after the dance with, the reverse on – blue pants and a red shirt. lol. This also might be the first appearance of a visor in the Degrassi franchise.

Manny wears a zip up hoodie, messenger bag, plain tee, ponytail, and flare jeans with tennis shoes. And then for the dance – the grade 9 dance which these girls decide to sneak into, Manny dresses as Molly Ringwald or something. She’s got on like, a … garden hat (I just made that up) with a dusty pink, shoulderpadded blazer, a floral vest, and a magenta skirt, all of which could have come out of the wardrobe of DJH or DH. And she was being such a good little sidekick until Sid found out he prefers Molly over Cyndi.

Liberty time! It seems the school has been handing out those plastic sunglasses left and right because everyone’s got em. Here’s Liberty doing announcements with Mohammed in overalls and a yellow top. And she too goes all out for the 80s dance. Unfortunately if she’s dressed up as an 80s figure, I couldn’t tell you who it is. I am surprisingly 80s culture deprived. Liberty wears her hair big, lipstick and eyeshadow, bulky jewelry, and some sort of black sequined outfit which I can’t quite make out in this pitch black school. But she is definitely feeling herself.

First here’s JT with his spike hair and a grey shirt open over a graphic tee. But I’m more concerned with the next ensemble. As you may recall, the grade 7s… wait, weren’t they in grade 7 last year? What? Okay, the grade 8s have their little 80s dance during lunch hour, and JT and Toby really put in effort for this. JT wears neon sunglasses and a yellow blazer over a blue tee. I just love it. Though I don’t remember seeing any yellow blazers on Degrassi Junior High or Degrassi High.

Jimmy is in some kinda polo top with a chain and a popped collar, and a sweatband on his wrist. And then of course is another iconic image – Drake dressed up like Michael Jackson. He’s got loafers, sparkly socks, flooding pants, red leather jacket, a sequined shirt, two belts, and.. a jheri curl hairdo? I don’t know how to use jheri curl in a sentence. His hair is in jheri curl? He wears a jheri curl? I’m sorry, I don’t know. Anyway, there it is. Enjoy. It’s a surprisingly hard ‘fit to capture, it being so dark at the dance.
