Oh, hey! I took about a week off from posting because I ran out of storage space here on my site. I use WordPress, and I had filled up my Personal plan to the limit. I thought I was on Premium already and thought I couldn’t afford the next upgrade. Turns out I only had Personal, so now I’ve upgraded to Premium, and hope to have a few more years of doing this with y’all! I mean, I have like 14 more seasons to cover! Let’s hope Premium gets me through that!

Anyway, I’ve got the rando roundup for you today. First is the Tankini Tramp, who reminds me of Sara Paxton. Then is this group shot of the Grade 8s (I know, they’re older now) which is undeniably awesome. Ya know, I tend not to question these pants. Ever. Because those were the only pants I knew at the time and still feel like “normal” pants to me, even as trends changed. But like… objectively… do they look.. BAD?! Ill-fitting, even? Unflattering? Well, even if they do, skinny jeans are MUCH worse.

I had to include this mannequin shot because you can see the low-riseness of the pants, the tightness of the shirt, and that grommet belt, oof. Also at the mall, Manny is looking at this girl wearing a low-rise mini skirt, and the girl is also wearing the wig that Manny tries on… yeaaaah y’all can’t get anything past me!! I’m onto your secrets! Also at the mall is this gorgeous blonde with fillers and heavy makeup, also a miniskirt. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I still love and always have loved that golden Playboy blonde color that’s currently “out”. It’ll be back, just you watch.

Why do all the adults wear 70s-inspired clothes? Huge collars and bell sleeves? Does the wardrobe dept do that on purpose to show they’re from a different generation? Anyway, this rude receptionist for Bernice wears a terribly uncomfortably looking tweed blazer over a collar that reaches the ends of her shoulders. Gross.

Back at school, we see an assortment of cross-body bags and messenger bags. At the hot-girls-only party, Tankini Tramp Sara Paxton is apparently friends with Emma now, and her bra straps are hangin out – a favorite look! And finally.. the vodka guy is kinda gross, isn’t he?

I abhor Ashley’s wedding outfit. It’s a stain my memory. However, it is a perfect representation of the cringe choices we’d make as teenagers, especially our outfits to very important events. Why, just this weekend my teenage cousin attended a family wedding in a shiny cocktail dress, but wore Doc Martens and a flannel shirt over it. Anyway, Ashley is wearing this navy tee and leather bracelet. She’s GOT to have some kind of a spray tan. She just looks so orange to me. Obviously people can do what they want, I’m just not a fan of fake tans. However, please allow me to lovingly trash Ashley’s wedding outfit with all due respect. This hairstyle is the worst and I’m SURE this was not Melissa McIntyre’s idea. lol. This is like, hair twisted into cornrows with pieces of the front left out to “frame the face”. This is already a quite dated hairstyle by 2004, wouldn’t you say? It’s like something Terri would wear for PMS. Ash is also wearing a necklace that looks like something you come back with from a Spring Break trip to the beach in 5th grade to go with your airbrushed t-shirt. The dress is a grey sweetheart cocktail dress with black lacy trim. I just don’t like the contrast of the cool-toned grey with the orange tan. Oh and that dropped waist is so bad. I’m not a fan of dropped waist, why do we want to elongate our torsos and shorten our legs? The cringe of this outfit is right on up there with the cringe of Craig’s behavior at the wedding (which we can’t blame him for but it was still awful). Sorry for the overuse of the very mean word “cringe”. Well, that’s all I have to say about the wedding outfit. I HAD to include this sick cell phone that lights up in different colors when it rings. LOVE it. And finally, Ash joins Craig in the hospital wearing a reddit jean jacket, low rise jeans, and grommet belt. Those pants were so dangerous. We were all 2 millimeters away from showing our coin slots constantly.

Ashley time… First she’s wearing this 3/4 sleeve boatneck shirt with like, cowboys on it? Low-rise jeans with no back pockets, a grommet belt, a leather bracelet, and this tiny backpack with purple spikes. Then she’s in skirt and leggings – I never liked this type of look where the leggings don’t go all the way down. And here in Ash’s case, she has this blank spot of leg after the leggings and then some tall socks almost reaching up to the leggings but not quite. Weird. Red converse too, to match the red skirt. Spiked belt, and a grey skull and crossbones tank over a black tee. This was almost completely an outfit you would have seen me in at this time as well. I WANTED to dress more like Ellie but ended up dressing more like Ashley if we’re being real. I also featured a closeup of her nails, which look natural, and her minimal makeup. And this image of Ashley spreading her legs on the hotel bed is just… burned into my mind, an ugly, eternal memory…

Islands in the Stream

2004

Time for the rando roundup for Islands in the Stream! First is this couple Paige is waiting on at The Dot. The guy has long curly hair, tats, and a tee, and the girl has a 2000s side part with layers and a red tank. Then, there’s the mean manager in his Dot shirt. Next is a couple of guys behind Toby wearing headwear and baggy pants, making Toby look much less cool. Then there’s a dude dribbling in the hallway wearing baggy layers. Next, a little Spirit Squad group shot. Then, haha check this girl out. It’s funny that she’s wearing this shirt while Rick is out collecting kisses. But seriously though, these shirts with statements on them were all the rage. This is hilarious. With that white grommet belt and those low-rise jeans? I think she even has a little hip tattoo to bring it all together. This is fantastic. Rick, just walk away bruh. Then there are a couple of dudes at the movie theatre who are dressed so plainly there’s not even much I can say. And FINALLY, I had to throw in this mohawk guy!
