I love that this was a brief little follow-up to Hazel’s one episode she ever had. She is still owning who she is and is seen here wearing her hijab for the Christmas pageant thing!!

Emma is at this tree-trimming party since her parents are friends. You can’t even really see her outfit, but I’m posting this anyway. Here’s Emma in a grey long-sleeve. If nothing else, this is proof that she WAS in this episode. In case you’re looking for such proof.

Lord, we have a buttload of Craig to go through today. Because his cheating ass is the star of the show. First we see him unloading the Christmas tree. He wears jeans, a leather jacket, and one of the worst fashion items to appear on broomheadz – a backwards newsboy hat. This is atrocious. And unfortunately there’s more. But next we see him taking phonecalls from his mistress, with his usual floofy hair, and a red tee under a denim overshirt. His next appearance is in a raglan tee – try not to get distracted by Joey’s awful turtleneck, we will get to that in another post. Next, oh no – that awful hat is back. He’s even tucked his bangs into it. Who let this happen? He continues to wear this awful thing throughout the rest of these shots. It’s kinda hard to pay attention to his boring shirts, pants, and shoes that I’d otherwise go over with you.

I don’t know why, but Caitlin’s lack of confidence is just, strange to me? I feel like she shouldn’t be so wimpy at this point in life. So yeah in this episode she’s weirdly lingering around Joey’s family, and unfortunately Sydney makes it worse by making Caitlin a babysitter, further entwining her with their family. Anyway, she’s first at the tree-trimming party in a red v-neck, sporting that bleach blonde textured haircut. Then, she’s late for Angie’s… recital? What is the word I’m looking for? In a blue puff jacket and a striped scarf. Next, she’s again, lingering at Joey’s house, in a purple horizontal-striped shirt. Then her best bud Sydney comes to see her at work. She’s wearing a turtleneck and a zip-up leather jacket. Sometimes in the 2000s, we were lost. Lost between the 90s and the future and unsure of what looks good. And finally, she’s doing the babysitting in a grey and pink raglan tee.

Ashley is wearing some red and blue rock-n-roll looking shirt that I just can’t decipher. Then she’s practicing with Craig for the holiday talent show, wearing a brownish sweater with a black tee, flare jeans, and converse. She and Craig really had nice standard realistic alt-kid looks. I mean, they think they’re so alt but they’re really not wearing anything extreme, and that’s about right. Ya know? People be like “I had a scene phase” and you see pics and all they did was part their hair to the side, wear a plastic bracelet and Converse. We had to wear diluted versions of our dream styles as teens. But Ash and Craig weren’t too interested in actual fashion at this point, I’d reckon. They were just dressed casually and focused on music. They’d probably still describe their style as rocker or something anyway, ya know? The last outfit is a inter tee with a black cardi, and a leather bracelet for good measure.

On to the next episode, which was just recently named one of my least favorites, we start off with Angie seen in what looks to be a fuzzy red sweater. She’s pretty much sporting pigtails the entire episode which were most likely done by Sydney. She’s just wearing standard kid clothes which I don’t feel the need to describe. But the star fashion piece is this costume that Syd made for the ice skating pageant. Satiny and sequiny!

I wish we were getting such a huge Terri spread under better circumstances, but as we all know, this is where her relationship with Rick is turning sour. First, Terri is wearing her hair half-up and a horizontally-striped shirt, and that cute heart necklace. Then she’s polishing her acting skills with an open button down and a khaki midi skirt. Ew, no to that skirt. Then, we’re in more of a classic Terri look – pajama chic. Sweatpants with a short sleeve ZUH. Just kidding, I’m not actually going to call zip up hoodies ZUHs. For dress rehearsal she dons a gingham sweater and this is the first time gingham has looked unappetizing to me. (Not because of her, but because of the sweater/color itself.) Next she’s in a gray and turquoise blouse and the heart necklace again. I also wanted to point out her French-manicured nails. Which I’d never noticed were severely out of style. HOWEVER, I think they’re sliding their way back into fashion as we speak. Poor sweet Terri. This is a completely overused phrase these days but, she doesn’t deserve this. Our final ‘fit ia a terra-cotta colored henley top paired with some newfound conviction. Conviction that sadly does not last.

This is the subplot where Spinner wants JT to go away and stop being friends with Paige. Idk why y’all like this dude so much but whatever. First, he’s wearing those shorts. You remember these shorts, back from the day. They’re so long and baggy that they’re almost pants. Ha, I think these are hilarious. Then he’s just got a tee and zip up hoodie. I type “zip up hoodie” so much we might as well start calling them ZUHs. His hair looks gross as usual. He does make an appearance in his The Dot uniform. And then JT rips Spinner’s pants off in a totally hetero way, revealing some classic stereotypical boxers with hearts on them as if we were in some kind of cartoon. Also note the silhouette of those skate shoes that were IT back in the day. The flatter the bottoms, the rounder the toes, the puffier the tongue, the cooler you were.

Wow, I just have one blurry picture of Snake in a black tee shirt. He’s laying low as he’s going through chemo.

Rick. He definitely has a certain silhouette. Baggy pants, an open overshirt blowing in the wind (along with his hair), and that messenger bag across his body. He’s also got a pretty predictable color scheme, muted ‘masculine’ colors, and khakis and denims. No need to break down any individual ‘fit. Plus, how many of us really want to sit here and look at him longer than we have to? Even before any abuse began, how likable was he? Not very.
