However brief, this episode is one of my favorite Hazel fashion moments. It’s really effective in combination with Paige’s outfit though. The red and blue pairing is just SO cute to me for some reason! I wish we’d seen these outfits for longer. Hazel looks so good in red in my opinion, so I love this frilly red tank paired with flare jeans. We also welcome Jimmy back to school in what is probably Lululemon – a grey zipper jacket over a purple cami.

Marco wears basically a Canadian tuxedo featuring his flared jeans and a ringer tee peeping out from under his jacket. Then we see him in his all-black “disguise”, and lastly coming home from the concert in his Kid gear and some kind of knit baseball cap.

Ashley time… First she’s wearing this 3/4 sleeve boatneck shirt with like, cowboys on it? Low-rise jeans with no back pockets, a grommet belt, a leather bracelet, and this tiny backpack with purple spikes. Then she’s in skirt and leggings – I never liked this type of look where the leggings don’t go all the way down. And here in Ash’s case, she has this blank spot of leg after the leggings and then some tall socks almost reaching up to the leggings but not quite. Weird. Red converse too, to match the red skirt. Spiked belt, and a grey skull and crossbones tank over a black tee. This was almost completely an outfit you would have seen me in at this time as well. I WANTED to dress more like Ellie but ended up dressing more like Ashley if we’re being real. I also featured a closeup of her nails, which look natural, and her minimal makeup. And this image of Ashley spreading her legs on the hotel bed is just… burned into my mind, an ugly, eternal memory…

Hazel time! First she’s in the caf in a tight, blue, v-neck tee with flares and a colorful belt. Then she’s trying to talk sense into Paige, wearing a graphic tee and flares again. Oh, have we mentioned her hair? It’s currently red and curly and looks really cute. Next is a raglan style graphic tank – she sure is casual lately! And finally, a couple of spirit squad practice stills.

Tons of Marco for you today. First are his photobooth shots. His hair is all styled with a side part, and he wears a zip up sweater and a green tee, jeans, and a striped belt. Also, OMG one of those bracelets where you could swap out those plain silver segments for a segment with a charm on it. Wow. The next outfit is one that I would call a quintessential Marco look. He’s got these flared jeans on, an athletic-looking jacket, and his YYZ hat. Oh lord, after all these years I just googled YYZ hat. Turns out YYZ is the Toronto airport! That’s cool! Anyway, I really like this outfit. Think about how much better Marco dresses than, say, Spinner. Next he wears a very light wash Western-looking jean jacket with an orange tee and jeans. And finally, for the presidential debate, he wears his hair all slicked back, aww. He also wears, idk how to describe this – it looks like a soccer-inspired shirt, but I don’t know why I’m inclined to say that.

I recall someone, somewhere – I think it was Miriam herself – saying that these ‘fits, particularly the green one, are Lululemon. So use that information how you will. Ah yes, athleisure is creeping into our lives early. If only we would have known that soon, people everywhere would be going to sit-down restaurants in leggings and tennis shoes. First she’s in this powder-blue, fitted zip up hoodie over a white cami. And we have to talk about the hair. Not my favorite. The bangs are actually something I would have considered 90s bangs, ya know? Kinda thin, kinda long. I never really thought these were actually in style at the time she was wearing them. The next outfit is the green top & jacket set, which she wears with flare pants, and I believe Birkenstock clogs. These were also uncool by 2004, unless you were a hippie. She also is wearing her famous Che Guevara purse. In PE she wears a tiny green tank and little khaki shorts. And the final outfit is a tight blue tee with a tank peeking out, a jean skirt, and these cute shoes that look like Airwalks or Converse or something.

Marco has discovered the hair straightener! First we have a little athleisure moment with the beanie. But come on, let’s skip ahead to the star of the show – Marco’s back to school outfit! Are you freakin kidding me! I’ve heard that some people hate this fit. Omg, I love it. I think he looks so sharp. Sadly it was hard to catch proper shots of the ensemble. Marco wears his straightened hair in a side part, with slick sunglasses, a coat and tie, with flared jeans. He’s SO cool!

Hazel time! She wears some classic Hazel flare jeans, her cross body bag, some frosty eyeshadow, and has these cute bangs! She’s also got a square French mani. And for the dance, she wears a lovely blue sari with gold adornments. Oh yeah, and really pretty purple eyeshadow – and this was back in the day when we didn’t do elaborate makeup of course.

So, we get a huge Marco haul today. First of all, his hair seems to be dyed black and full of some sort of texturizing product, I’m not sure. I wouldn’t call this a full-on awkward hair stage because it’s not really that bad, it just seems kinda confused sometimes. Or almost looks like a wig. Not that there’s anything wrong with wigs of course. So this first outfit is really cool – multiple layers with a flared-sleeve flared-pants silhouette. And I also had to grab screenshots of the frantic date-outfit choices. Honestly I’m not sure why Marco has any of these in his closet. The shimmery clubby shirt, which is awesome, the peasant Oliver Twist shirt, and the cowboy shirt – also awesome. And with Spinner’s help, he settles on “sporty”, a black and yellow getup strangely reminiscent of bees, which he hates. And he puts on a fedora which Dylan immediately rejects. I think that is super rude, mortifying, and honestly not in Dylan’s character, right? And lastly, Marco’s all a mess in flare pants, a tee, and a zip up jacket.

Here’s the collection of random shots and group shots from this episode. We see some baggy pants, chunky shoes, sparkly chains, horizontal stripes, scrunched hair, zip up hoodies, and Hell Hath No Fury in all their glory. Also this announcer guy at the mic, I don’t know who he is but I feel like he’s some kind of a famous athlete, like a basketball player.
