Tears are Not Enough, Part 1
Aired: 2003

Joey’s just still, wearing boring clothes and being a boring person. He wears a grey shirt and tie, then he wears a khaki jacket, and then he wears a grey-blue polo. I also love that all of these shots make him look like a completely un-fun person. As you may know, I’m not a Joey fan. But I can’t deny that in DJH/DH he could be described as “a fun person” by some. And it IS sad how all that fun has been utterly drained out of him in adulthood.

Tears are Not Enough, Part 1

Craig’s evil dad mostly wears suits, and those anxiety-inducing square glasses. He’s also seen in his doctor outfit. I love that little moment because it shows the caring, nurturing side to him. Which of course is a major contrast to his hateful abusive tendencies. People are so complex. But honestly… heck we will just wait for part 2.

Tears are Not Enough, Part 1

Craig’s color story, however boring, is appropriate. Even though he’s got a new life now, his past still haunts him. Also, literally because his dad pulls up at school. Anyway, my point is, his past still haunts him, and his style is still depressing. Ash is intentionally depressing,  mind you. Craig is unintentionally depressing, a sad style with no direction. Here he is in a variety of colorless regular boy clothes. The leather jacket is cool though. But generally Craig just perpetually looks like he just rolled out of bed, so I feel no desire to walk through his ensembles piece-by-piece.

: Tears are Not Enough, Part 1

Ladies and gentlemen and friends, Ashley has PEAKED!!!! This is the climax of Ashley Kerwin’s style. Here we are, at the zenith. The apex. I worship this. She is a beautiful fallen angel who walks in grace. Her black are blacker than black and she strikes fear into the heart of the simpleton. It’s winter, we can see breath hanging in the air, and Ashley dons many layers. We see mesh detailing under her sleeves, hooked on to her middle finger. She wears a skirt, leggings, boots, and jacket all in the perfect black. Her hair seems freshly-dyed and her makeup is darker than ever. The fur on the coat is my favorite detail. And I love the way Craig is so genuinely interested in her, just digging her, no matter what. There was something so pure about that, especially compared to the Jimmy relationship. I don’t like Craig and Ashley as a couple, but I felt the connection they made here in this season finale was really touching.

Spinner is all blue today – first in a Volcom tee, then in his Degrassi sweatshirt, and finally a navy long sleeve. As always, the hair, the piercings, and jewelry are worthy of note.

Wait, is this our first time seeing Sauve?? I think it is! You know, maybe at first I think I liked Sauve. Now that I’m a grown up, and understand how grown ups are supposed to act, and now that my husband is studying to become a school counselor, and I know how counselors are supposed to act, I’m not really a fan of her that much anymore. Unrelated, she’s beautiful, but that doesn’t really matter, because we are here to talk about her clothes. First she wears one of those awesomely-2000s matching top & cardi sets in red, and her hair is pulled half back. Then she wears a vertically-striped button down under a brown suede looking vest. I feel super judged by her. Look at that gaze.

Paige is the star of the show today! First he’s got boho vibes in Sauve’s office, wearing tiny braids in her hair and a mauve laced-up top, which is lined with lace, is slightly cropped, and has bell sleeves. She wears low-rise jeans and black platforms. Next she’s in her spirit squad uniform. I also got a closeup of her face just to show the makeup of the time. And on doomsday, she has the SAME hair, and wears a brown top with some kinda design on it. Outside we see her brown pants, platforms, and blue puffer vest. It must be super cold outside because here on the steps it looks like over her spirit squad uniform she had to wear a sweatshirt, a vest, and pants. I also got a shot of her Sketchers (or something similar). From my perspective, Sketchers were the shoes that always really wanted to be cool but never quite were. And now we’re back in Sauve’s, and Paige wears a brown, yellow, and orange floral top that seems super 70s. It has bell sleeves as well, and like normal she keeps her super cool shades tucked into the front.

Oh Marco, he’s really pretending everything is fine and chill and Ellie is gonna call him out on it. First we see him in a red puffer vest. Then a ribbed sweater with a horizontal chest stripe (at this point I might as well call them HCS’s because we see it so often). Next, we see him in this like, circus commercial he and Ellie are making. Idk, he wears a bunch of costume pieces in garish colors. Next, he’s in a tan and beige tee with HAS, horizontal arm stripes, lol. And then, the NEW commercial is a Matrix-looking theme where Marco wears sleek shades and a black turtleneck. And finally, he’s in a navy long sleeve tee and tells Ellie, “Bruh, I’m gay.”
